I liked Mr Benn - David McKee also wrote 'Not Now, Bernard' and 'The Conquerors', amongst other children's books. A great author.

Xrh 'Well it's not us !'. (Is that the 'royal us'?)

Could be a Yorkshire "us" jo anne.

As in, "We were having us tea."

A Yorkshire 'us' is still plural though, Dostaf.

I have to confess, I first joined ww as 'Olive Oil' - but I never posted under that username.
I discovered, in time, the name is spelt 'Olive Oyl'.
